Major upgrades continue on Runway 14/32 at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA)

The project, which began on February 3, 2025, is a critical part of the airport’s long-term infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing safety and operational efficiency. As previously advised, travelers may experience delays during peak operational periods. While every effort is being made to minimize disruptions, we acknowledge that a project of this scope and scale can result in some extended wait times.

The public is also reminded that various factors, including weather, contribute to airport delays. LPIA is also unique because of the mix of large commercial and small private aircraft utilizing our airport infrastructure which can further impact wait times.

This work is critical to fully supporting and enhancing LPIA’s current operations and future growth as an airport. Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) continues to work closely with all stakeholders to manage operations as efficiently as possible during this period.

Further updates will be provided next week. For more information on the overall runway rehabilitation project, visit: https://nassaulpia.com/major-runway-upgrades-lpia/.
