About The Position
The multi-disciplined Maintenance Response team members will respond in a timely fashion to daily maintenance calls throughout the facilities inclusive of performing scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on all electrical equipment. This team will ensure that all routine
maintenance calls are addressed and corrected in order to minimize downtime for all airport assets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance calls in a timely manner.
- Assess the nature of the problem and take corrective action.
- Where necessary, order required parts / supply materials list for job at hand.
- Complete work orders electronically.
- Advise work control of the status of each maintenance call.
- Ensure that all workplace safety rules are adhered to all times.
- Perform other related work as is required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School with a Diploma
- Trades certificate in two relevant disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to train junior staff on equipment and systems.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of specialized trade tools (multi-meter where applicable
- Proven ability to take on a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Knowledge in computer skills (Microsoft word and excel)
- Troubleshooting skills
- 5 – 8 years’ experience in a hand on multi-functional environment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex wiring circuits.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
