What is Mobile Passport Control?
Mobile Passport Control is a free mobile app from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) that allows eligible travelers to submit their passport information and customs declaration right from their smartphone or tablet — no paperwork needed!
At LPIA, MPC travelers enjoy a dedicated fast-track lane, helping you clear U.S. Customs more quickly and spend less time in line.
How It Works
- Download the MPC App: Get the official Mobile Passport Control app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before you arrive at the airport.
- Create Your Profile: Add your passport information securely into the app — this only needs to be done once.
- Submit Your Info on Travel Day: After landing at LPIA or shortly before going through the U.S. Customs preclearance Hall, complete the “New Trip” entry and answer a few brief customs questions.
- Use the Fast-Track MPC Lane: Show your digital QR code and passport to one of our friendly ambassadors in U.S. Customs who will direct you to the dedicated MPC lane. That’s it — you’re cleared in minutes!
Who Is Eligible?
Mobile Passport Control is available to:
- U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders
- Canadian Citizens with B1/B2 Visitor Visa status
- Traveling individually or as a family (up to 12 profiles per household)
- No pre-approval or interview is needed.
