Global Entry
Global Entry is the trusted traveler program designed to make your re-entry to the United States faster and easier.
If you’re already a Global Entry member, or you’re in the process of applying, LPIA now offers on-site Global Entry interviews for conditionally approved applicants.
What is Global Entry?
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) program that allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to use automated kiosks to quickly clear U.S. immigration at participating airports, including at LPIA.
With Global Entry, travelers benefit from:
- Expedited clearance through U.S. Customs
- Faster security screening through TSA PreCheck® also available at LPIA pre-clearance security (included with Global Entry)
- Access to automated kiosks at over 75 U.S. airports and preclearance locations
Global Entry Interviews at LPIA
If you’re eligible for Global Entry and have received conditional approval, you can complete your in-person interview with a U.S. Customs officer right here at LPIA — no need to wait until you land in the U.S.
How It Works
- Arrive Early at the airport: We recommend arriving at least 3 hours ahead of departure to allow time for clearing security, going through U.S. Customs and your interview.
- Visit the U.S. Customs Hall: Once you clear security and walk into the U.S. Customs preclearance hall, you can share with an ambassador that you’d like to do your global entry interview or wait until you are called up to an officer at the booths.
- Request a Global Entry Interview: Let the officer know you’d like to complete your Global Entry interview. If a USCBP officer is available, they’ll guide you through the brief process.
- Get Approved: Once approved, your Global Entry membership is valid for five years and can be used immediately.
