About The Position
The Manager, Landside Operations, is responsible for the management and oversight of the
parking and ground transportation operations which includes formulating policies, procedures,
systems, and controls to optimize these functions. Additionally, the job holder is required to
maximize non-aeronautical revenues and provide world class parking facilities and ground
transportation services and options to all users. The job holder is also responsible for the
management and the maintenance of the landscape, grounds, and irrigation system in keeping
with world class standards.
The role demands a combination of strategic oversight, financial acumen, people leadership, and
cross-departmental collaboration to support NAD’s mission of providing safe, efficient, and
customer-focused airport services. The Manager, Landside Operations reports to the Vice
President, Operations. The position requires close collaboration with NAD’s Operations and
Facilities teams, as well as with airport stakeholders, including the various Ground
Transportation Providers and Government entities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive a guest centric culture across the department and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all parking, ground transportation, and landside operational functions to ensure
smooth, safe, and efficient operations daily. - Manage the various parking facilities with the goal of enhancing revenue, controlling
costs, and improving the guest experience. - Oversee the implementation and monitoring of revenue collection control systems and
procedures and works closely with the Finance Department. - Ensure all revenue collection processes and cash-handling procedures are properly
implemented. - Ensure that the parking management and Automatic Vehicle Identification (“AVI”)
systems are properly maintained to achieve maximum system availability and reliability - Review and approve the daily work of the Revenue Collection Clerks after detailed
review is completed by the Parking Systems Customer Support Officer. Ensure that all
discrepancies and issues have been resolved prior to submission of work to the Finance
Department. - Oversee the towing of unauthorized or abandoned vehicles in accordance with NAD’s
towing procedures, ensuring all actions are properly authorized, documented, and
conducted by approved service providers. - Review towing reports and monthly reconciliations to confirm accuracy and compliance.
- Manage landscape and grounds maintenance to maintain world-class visual and
environmental standards. - Oversee coordination with Maintenance and Customer Experience Departments to ensure
that the recreational centers are properly cleaned and maintained. - Lead collaboration with the Finance Department to design and implement regular
reporting methodologies for senior management. Additionally, work together
collaboratively on conducting financial/operational analysis to identify trends, anomalies
and improvement opportunities. - Make recommendations to the VP, Operations for equipment and other asset purchases
based on goals and operational needs. - Liaise with Royal Bahamas Police Force, Road Traffic Authority, Airport Authority and
other stakeholders to maintain order and safety on airport roadways. - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators including revenue,
system uptime, incidents and guest satisfaction. - Oversee audits of the AVI and Amano systems to detect and mitigate fraud/misuse.
- Maintain and enhance operational systems and control measures to safeguard revenue
and assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Aviation Management or other relevant qualifications or combination of relevant experience and education.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operations (preferably in Parking Operations) or
other guest-facing fields. - Demonstrated ability to excel in fast-paced environments, navigate complex situations,
and prioritize tasks with minimal guidance. - Demonstrated ability to negotiate with a variety of stakeholders to achieve mutually
desirable outcomes. - Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications.
- Experience working effectively in a regulated and safety sensitive environment.
- Able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Airport Security Clearance.
